That was longest night shift for me. I thought it would never end.
This is our graveyard shift routine
*take the patient’s vital signs
*plot to the patient’s monitoring sheet
*document on the nurses notes
* verify doctor’s order
*due medications must be administered
now this is the hardest part for us pediatric nurses. It’s not easy giving those bitter medicines to kids, it could take an hour to convince them to take. Even administering thru Intravenous line is not easy, just by looking those needles will make those kids go huhu and gaga to their moms and dads. hahaha
Nurses life is not easy huh.
You have to have loads of patience before going to work. And of course bring that passionate heart with you 🙂
